If you have been living under a rock and have never seen an episode you really don't know what you are missing! The show is just...sigh.

Now, I know some of you are thinking to yourself, "I don't want to watch no crazy show about vampires! I'm a Christian!" lol yeah I said the same thing too...and then I proceeded to watch 2 seasons of the show in 2 days. Yeah, the show is that good and I was that hooked.

I do believe that this song is a hit...check out Mosh by Dem White Boyz! They got a little twang in their speech...a little bit of edge. I like!

The group consists of three dudes named, Sikk, Mr. Payne, and Skayta Boy. They hail from Oxford, Alabama and I think they're going to blow-up-tuate real soon...mark my words.

The one rapper from the group that stands out the most for me is Skayta Boy...his voice and delivery are different from the other dudes. If one of them does go solo in the future...it will probably be him.

This scene from the classic movie, Stormy Weather, has always made my mouth drop in awe. It is just amazing to me the talent that these two beautiful black men, who just happened to be brothers, had. The time, skill, and just dedication that it must've taken for, Faynard and Harold Nicholas, to become such great dancers is just mind blowing to me.

Do you guys see how steep those stairs are and how they jumped from them to eventually do splits over one another's body?! They freakin' glided across the floor...effortlessly! They made it look so easy! I know if I would have attempted to do any of the stunts they did...my ass would be in the emergency room with a concussion and a lot of broken bones...sipping food out of a straw for 6 months! I'm a nerd and I don't hide it. I have said countless times that the History Channel is one of my favorite television channels. I love history and have always loved history. If I had went to school for teaching...yep you've guessed it...I would have taught history.

So imagine my excitement when I found out that the History Channel was introducing a new show to the line up about mummies. The advertising promoted the show as being like a docu series following around the knower of all mummy Egyptian -ish, Dr. Zahi Hawass, and some other archeology folk as they excavate mummies and discover more artifacts.

So, as I watched the show...after the first 5 minutes...I realized that the show was scripted. I can tell that Dr. Hawass' team are acting, like on some The Hills, type steez. I was just mad, torn, hurt, and bamboozled.

I mean what on earth has the world come to that I can't even watch a show on the History Channel, without worrying about whether it's real or not?

I never thought my favorite channel would sell out like that. Damn shame.

I guess I should mention that the History Channel hasn't actually said that the show is "scripted", so all this stuff I'm spouting...is alleged. I have no proof.

But hey don't take my word for it. See for yourself. Chasing Mummies airs Wednesday nights at 10/9c.

I heard about Bruno Mars while listening to Billionaire by Travie McCoy...he of course is featured on the record. I heard of him again featured on B.o.B's smash hit Nothin' On You, and then I was able to put a face to the name after the videos was released.

I thought, this dude sings and he plays instruments. Does it get much better than that?

When you think about it...he's been featured on and co-written two hit songs by 2 rising stars in music. Not bad, not bad at all.

So it was only a matter of time before he released his own solo record, The Other Side, featuring none other than Cee Lo and B.o.B.

Kirs Artist Spotlight: Big K.R.I.T

This rapper/producer has given music the breath of fresh air that southern hip hop and just hip hop in general needed. There are so many talented artists in the world who seriously say some dope off the chart stuff that just makes you go "hmmmm".

When I saw the ending of his video for the song, Children of the World, and heard his last few bars I was like I have got to find out who this dude is. Mind you, I had no name to go on...I just knew he was from MS, because he mentioned it in the song. So I hopped on my favorite search engine, Google, typed in "Rapper from Mississippi" and saw his picture off to the side.

Eureka! I found him!

His style is something like a mixture of UGK, Talib Kweli, Andre 3000, with a southern country raw twang. Just refreshing.

Turns out he has recently signed to Def Jam...yeah I see big things happening for him in the future. He's going to be a force to be reckoned with in this music game.

Mark my words.

Most people have no idea that I was a HUGE Michael Jackson fan growing up! I mean HUGE! For instance, my uncle had The Wiz on VHS and everytime I went over his house I had to watch Mike as the scarecrow gettin' down with his bad self. One day though, I went to his house and he told me he no longer had the movie. So, I asked him, "What do you mean you don't have it? Where is it?" He nonchalantly retorted, "I let someone borrow it and they never gave it back." Do ya'll know I was mad as hell?! I was ready to put a team out to go search for that damn movie & the triflin' ~~ass~~ thieving people who stole it! I still haven't let it go...I'm still mad. lol

My great aunt knew I was a fan as well, so she would buy his tapes (Moonwalker, etc) and I would literally sit in her den watching them over and over again...I'd just sit there mesmerized. I thought it was cool how people would faint at the sight of him...he was just the man...still is.

The Dangerous album stayed on repeat with me...it was not a game! I knew every word to every song off that album! I would put it on and just dance in the middle of my living room floor! You could not tell me that I wasn't the -ish!

I still can't believe it has been a whole year...he really did not have to go out like he did. Addiction is crazy man...now, all we have are the music, videos, and movies.

Who in the Hell Left the Gate Open?

Those gosh darnit Twilight movies that's who! They left the damn gate open and I wandered inside of those bad boys! I can't even say I was forced to watch them, but I can blame it on the fact that there was 2 ft. of snow outside and I was bored out of my mind. So, against my own better judgement...I had this really wacky idea to just watch the movies: Twilight and New Moon.

I watched them back to back...one after the other...like I was addicted. I'm so disappointed in myself, because I should have exercised some self-control...and now I sit here awaiting the release of the 3rd installment, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, on June 30th. Will Bella choose Jacob or Edward? That is the question.

Me personally, I'm Team Jacob ALL DAY!

Damn, now I'm even on a "team"...someone quick make me snap out of this. To all the friends that are now hooked on the movies...I'm sorry. You all were just innocent bystanders.

I've been into Chromeo for a few years now. I think they are just GREAT! The sound is electrofunk and very Very VEry VERy VERY 1980's, but that's why I dig it so much. I love musicians that think outside the box.

The duo is comprised of P-Thugg on the machines and Dave 1 on vocals/guitar. P is Arab and Dave is Jewish...music really does brings people together.

Artist 2 Watch: Rocki Evans

A few months ago I downloaded this mixtape called [More Songs About Girls] by this dude named Rocki Evans...now I really don't remember how I even found out about the mixtape, but that's not the point. The point is that the mixtape was all kinds of dope-tastic!

More Songs About Girls, features songs that were inspired by Will.I.Am's solo album [Songs About Girls]. One of my fave tracks is Fantastic, which was the mixtapes first official single...it rocks!

Rocki is a breath of fresh air because he doesn't rap, try to rap, claim to be a world famous rapper, etc...the man just sings. *sigh* His voice is raspy and he doesn't really sound like anyone else in the game right now...which again is a breath of fresh air.

Educational Television: River Monsters on Animal Planet

Okay, so I watch some of the weirdest stuff on television. While others are watching Grey's Anatomy, Lost, 24, and those other shows. I can usually be found watching shows on my fave channels Discovery, TLC, The History Channel, Animal Planet, PBS, and etc.

One of my absolute fave shows is called River Monsters, hosted by this man named Jeremy Wade.

Now one thing about Mr. Wade is that he is completely nuts, but for this show, it's actually a good thing because without him there would be no show. He basically travels all around the world looking for big ~~ass~~ monster looking fish.

The fish creatures this man catches and wrestles to the ground often times look like things that are out of the freakin' X-Files, but that's why I love the show so much; because it teaches you that there is more to the world and its animals than we think.

50 Cent: Is that You?!

So, I was on one of my fave blogs NecoleBitchie and I was floored by pictures that I saw of 50 Cent...yes...the rapper. When I saw the pictures I was thinking to myself, now what in the Sam Hill has this man gotten himself into? As I read on though, I learned that he lost a boat load of weight for a new movie he's doing called, Things Fall Apart. The film centers around a football player who is diagnosed with cancer...hence, 50's sickly lookin' appearance. He now weighs about 160 lbs. and it took him 9 weeks to get down to that weight.

I mean I'm for dedication to ones craft, but can I keep it real? His acting better be some of the most fantastic acting that we've ever freakin' seen, because if it's not and he doesn't get nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe, or whatever else awards that are out there for acting, then all this weight loss...son...son...ya'll know what I'm trying to say.

I mean Tom Hanks lost weight to look like an AIDS patient for Philadelphia...but then again he's freakin' Tom Hanks.

I loved 50 in Get Rich or Die Tryin, I really hope 50 does his thing in this movie.

I'm Convinced...the [Energy Drink] Edition

I think I'm going to add a new segment to Industry*Kirs entitled [I'm Convinced], because there are just so many things I foresee a problem with in the future.

My first topic has to do with the ever changing, highly marketable, and most of the time some weird ass color that can't be good for you product...the "energy drink".

Now, I know that if I polled some of you addictive ~~asses~~ folk you'd be able to name me every energy drink that is on the shelf right now. Me personally, I can only name like 3 off top and here they are in no particular order, Monster, Amp'd, and Red Bull. Now, I know there are more but these are all I know and see people drink the most of.

My problem with these ~~potions, concoctions, mystery liquids~~ "drinks" is that they are not really natural. Most of them are filled with caffeine ~~out the ass~~ and once you drink them you're good for a few hours and then you CRASH. So, in order to prohibit the CRASH...most folk just well drink another can full.

It's always funny to see people who are addicted to their "drank" because the minute they don't think they're going to be able to obtain their vice...they go into hysterics. I've told several people they should try to ween themselves off "that stuff" and they look at me like a crack head needing a fix and say, "I know...I know...girl I just need it. I'm going to give them up one day."

You'll never catch me drinking one of those liquid addictions. If I need energy...I take a nap...or just fall asleep where I'm at like normal people.

Besides, I'm convinced...that in 10 years...they're going to tell us that it turns your insides blue and I don't need anymore problems. I've got student loans to pay back.

Okay, where do I begin? What in the hell is this shit? Yo, for all my skeezers, side pieces, freak janks, and just plain ol' hoes you've now got an official anthem, courtesy of the former 3LW member and Cheetah Girl herself Kiely Williams.

Oh yes, this video features THAT Kiely Williams. I swear I don't get some of these singers, and I use the term "singers" loosely, at what point did she say, "Hey f*ck talent... I just wanna do some ho shit!"

The first line of her song is, "I don't remember much...last night I was drunk..." and she goes on for about 3 minutes and some change talking about how good the sex was that she had with some random dude, that she met at a bar, and she can't remember if she wore a condom.
Through out the whole video she's on a freakin' "Ho Stroll" (shout out to Love B. Scott)...i.e. the "walk of shame"...I just don't understand what she's trying to prove with this video other than the fact that she's no longer a Cheetah Girl, and if that was what she was trying to do by making such a skeez-tastic song/video, Well girl I hope you're proud of yourself...mission accomplished.

I found out just how much he’s grown up when I contacted him last week while he was on the road for BET’s 106 and Park tour. Mario’s is currently promoting his new album D.N.A and my intentions were to find out what he had in store for his fans with this new project. However, our phone conversation somehow went stage left. Mario was surprisingly very open about his love life and he wanted to talk about mine as well. We also traveled into the territory of Sex.

I mean come on, the Mario I remember was 14, singing about “she’s just a friend” so him wanting to talk about sex caught me off guard! But, yes we went there

Naw, its all good. You could have waited until I came to ATL to do it in person. But, you are going to be too busy enjoying the show.

Yeah, but you know I got a special side for you baby. I also had a good time at your birthday party.

You know what the feed back was that everyone thought you were so down to earth and so pleasant.

So you have this album coming out on Tuesday, are you excited?

Very excited. You probably can not hear it in my voice because I have not slept in three days. I’m crazy right now but its all worth it because once I hit the stage its all about the fans.

You titled it D.N.A. can you tell me the meaning behind the title?

More than anything the meaning behind D.N.A. is reintroducing myself to my fans. The make up of who I am, all the way around and how creatively I had more creative control on this album than any of my previous projects. This is like my baby right here. So more than anything, I’m reintroducing myself to my fans.

Would you say the songs on your album are based on your life experiences or life experiences in general?

Both. Its a mixture of both. If you listen to D.N.A. you are going to get a mixture of incredible creative records. You are going to get those records like “The Hardest Moment”, records like “Stranded”, records like “Break Up, records like “I Miss My Friend” and current and personal records where you know its coming directly from the heart.

That is why I asked that because there were a lot of break up songs on there. My impression was that you just got through a break-up…

Me and my previous girlfriend broke up about six-months ago. It was a very on and off again relationship, we were very close to each other. It was tough because she was my High School sweetheart. Its one of those things like now being single, I’m having all these new experience with women and its a lot different from being in a relationship. So those songs are kind of inspired by those situation.

I just saw an interview you were doing one with your hometown radio station 92Q. I swear that was years ago with Fantasia and you said on that interview that you just went through a break up. So its the same person and you just got back together?

Yeah, on and off on and off. But, its definitely official. It ironic I will do a song called break-up and then I officially break up with my ex. Its crazy.

You know, I’m scared to fall in love. I’m listening to your songs and I said “I do not want to feel like that”.

But, you can’t control who you fall in love with. You know that, Necole. You know that right? If someone comes and swoops you off your feet, unless you make it a priority and put that ice box around your heart…. Is that where you are right now?

Where?

You got that ice-box around your heart?

Let’s just say, you have to do a lot of chiseling to get to me.

That means he has to be well worth it and he is going hard. He is going in to show that he cares.

Yeah, but a lot of people do not take the time. I guess they are not worth my time because they do not take their time.

Do you feel its hard since you went through all these break ups and getting back together to maintain a relationship in the public eye?

Yeah, its definitely hard and I tried it. Its hard. I feel like when I’m in a relationship and its 100% on both sides I’m in it and I’m dedicated and faithful. But, when it’s 2nd guessing and we are not on the same page…we are in the same book but just on so many separate pages with different chapters it gets wack. You got to take your time and find the right person. I’m dating right now but I’m not really pushing for anything too too serious. If it comes along, I’d be excited to have that experience but I’m just doing me.

So, If I was to call your ex-girlfriend and to ask her what type of guy you are in a relationship?

(laughs) Whoa Now! If I let the emails tell it, I ain’t shit right now.

Oh wow!

Nobody’s perfect. No relationship is perfect. We had a lot of ups and downs throughout the years but if you were to call and ask her ultimately she’d say we were very in love with each other and it was a mutual decision to break it off.

You had a show out in Houston recently and they told me that you broke down on stage. I didn’t know you had just went through a break up but you seem really in tune with your emotions…

I performed “The hardest moment” in my show and I was just having a really crazy day that day. I was really just thinking about the album and the release of this record. It’s my fourth album and I’ve been through a lot of things in my life. It was one of those moments where I looked into the audience and it got real emotional for me for a minute. I broke down a little bit.

That song is really hard for me to perform. It’s a hard song to perform on many levels for me. There are a lot of moments where I had to face a situation and let it go. My grandmother….When I did this song that’s all I could think about. That moment where I felt like I was losing the most important person in my life. Me and my grandmother at one point had a better relationship than me and my mom. So it was just one of those days.

It’s funny that I said that you are in tune with your emotions. I never told anyone this but my first boyfriend was this guy. Really cute but sort of rough. He pursued me and wanted me really bad but I wasn’t interested. It wasn’t until a friend of his passed and he came to me and cried that I began to like him…and I became his girlfriend.

Wooow! It’s funny that you say that because back to my ex again. She would probably say that. There were a lot of times that I wasn’t emotional with her. I didn’t always open up. That had a lot to do with it. If you asked me again, something that I could have done, I think I could have been more open with her. Even with my fans, I think I’m ready to open up and be more vulnerable. When you make songs like I do and you emote so much it’s important to say to your friends why you do the things you do and write the songs you write. A Man that ain’t afraid to cry is a man who isn’t afraid to die. I’m ready to go there…

Also from that show, I saw a photo of you and a girl who had a Soul Truth tattoo. How did that make you feel?

Ah man, We connected. Soul Truth, That tattoo means a lot to me. I grew up in the church and I deeply feel that when you do something with your heart and your soul, whether it’s writing, whether it’s movies, whether it’s being a painter, you are a model. When you do it and your heart is in it, people feel that because it comes from your heart and soul. So it’s the truth. It’s in your heart. That’s what Soul Truth stands for… So for her to get that tattoo, she’s on my level. Let’s go.

I was listening to the cuts on your album and a noticeably missing topic was sex. Did you keep a sexual song out on purpose? Is that a subject that’s taboo to you…

No it’s not taboo at all. AT ALL. I’m a very sexual person when I find THAT girl. I go in and I’m sexual with a girl that deserves it. It was tough dating a girl that wasn’t. Someone who I really cared about, somebody who ultimately knew me better than I sometimes felt like I knew myself. But, its tough now I guess accepting the fact that I am who I am and got to do what I got to do. I was not always perfect and I did things that I was not suppose to do that may have made her insecure. I think maybe it will be easier with someone who understands lifestyles and understand protocols. We will see how it happens in the future.

Oh, my Goodness! This is my talk right here Bitchie! What makes sex great to me? Chemistry is so important when it comes down to sex. Chemistry, taking your time and depending on what level of comfort you are with each other. If you guys are going all out with each other. If it’s your girl, its like taking your time and really appreciating every inch of that person. And when it gets to the point where ya’ll are past foreplay and you’re making good love its in the middle of both of those. To me its like a mountain, you’re climbing a mountain. Soooo, I was watching the Mo'Nique Show on BET last night and I was surprised to see Fizz and Boog, formerly of B2K, performing their new song BOUNCE!

After I turned the sound back up on my television, Mo is loud as all hell, I was able to hear what I've been missing for the past few years. My dudes, minus 2, are back!

I was so happy for them, but then again I'm happy for anybody who gets kicked out of a group and done dirty.

Now, this little container is really a wizard of sorts.
I'd say it was invented eons ago, yes "eons" is a scientific word, its quite crazy how it works....really it is.

All you do is take material that you have no use for anymore and throw it in the container.
Wah-la, just like magic, its gone.

They even make the container big, small, medium etc, to help facilitate all shapes, types, and sizes of waste products.

Some nifty folks have put them all around communal areas in hopes that people will... in... fact... throw their unwanted materials away.

And to make it that much more convenient, these clever people have even set-up systems all around the country, that make it so citizens do not have to then further dispose of their trash once its been thrown away!

Get the hell out of here!
People actually come, pick-up the trash, and remove it from the premises.
I tell you, its amazing!

So the next time you have unwanted material in your possession, be a doll, and throw it the shit in the nearest trash-can. You'd be surprised at how nice your community looks!

Sometimes I'm ashamed of my own people.

Black youth need to wake the hell up. I don't give shit where you're from, no excuse to kill inocent people. Especially the ones who actually have their head on straight and are trying to do something with their life.

He was an honor student and was probably just minding his own business when he was attacked, and killed by a gotdamn mob of thuggish-ass-ignorant-ass-no-home-training-having-black barbarians.

This act of violence inflicted on Derrion Albert, 16, of Chicago, was senseless. They say there is a tape of his murder, now what sick and twisted individual would tape the slaying of an innocent kid? I am never going to watch the video...I couldn't take seeing the murder of a kid just walking home from school.

This boy will never have the chance to grow up, go to Prom, take his SAT's, apply to college, graduate from high school, and begin to really live. They took that from him and it wasn't theirs to take.

I cannot imagine what his family and friends are going through right now.

I hope the thugs who killed him are found, prosecuted, and thrown under the jail.

This morning as I was ~~speeding~~ driving down the highway I noticed the radio station I was jamming to kept playing my fave rapper T.I. As I wondered what was going on, ~~I thought he died,~~ they broke in and announced that today is in fact his BIRTHDAY!

Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. aka T.I.P aka T.I. turns 29 years young today!

I would say that I hope he enjoys himself and does something crazy, but seeing as though he's in the ~~penn jail behind bars~~ joint...maybe I should just say:

"Keep your head up and lets try celebrating this great day at another location next year! Jail cells don't really scream, 'celebration'. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR! " :)

The movie looks good although, they keep saying the movie just doesn't follow James, but from what I'm seeing....it looks like an HBO Real Sports biography on Lebron.

Man on the Moon: End of Day- Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi has ~~finally~~ officially dropped his first album, Man On the Moon: The End of Day. The album seems to be a fusion of indie hip-hop eclectic folky ~~weird~~ music! I love it!

This is not your uncle's gangster rap. If you do not have an open-mind this album will completely disgust/annoy you.

LA Times

The one overly consistent element, unfortunately, is Cudi's voice. His unhurried nasal flow is highly recognizable, but doesn't quite convey the sly wit of precursors like Slick Rick and Snoop Dogg. He's best when he lets the fog lift on more extroverted cuts like the funny "Make Her Say" and "Enter Galactic." Let's hope Kid Cudi finds a few more ladies to take into space on his next journey; they seem to help him get beyond his habits and hang-ups.

For the most part, the pace drags, though we do get a few perkier stretches, including "Make Her Say," which samples Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" in a way that offers more burpy fun than the original. Still, those few peaks of animation can't make up for the dire landscape of the rest. Worse, for an album whose whole point is to channel the wild imagination of the unconscious, Cudi's shows precious little of it.

The music is engrossing and Cudi's angst genuine (he mourns his dead father), but his raps get pedestrian ("Gray clouds up above, man/Metaphor to my life, man"). And asserting ad nauseam that he is a "lonely stoner" is just annoying — a hipster boast masquerading as a confession.

So the consensus, ~~take it as a grain of salt~~, is that the album is annoying and he whines...okay...got it. Ehhh what do they know anyway?!

There was one critic who actually thought it was pretty good...

The premise is that Kid Cudi’s not on the same planet as other rappers. The truth is that he’s not in the same genre. “Man on the Moon: The End of Day,’’ his long-awaited debut album, is a lot of things. It’s spacey, adventurous, and ridiculously intriguing if only because it’s so different.

But it’s not rap. And that’s not a bad thing. Following Andre 3000’s “The Love Below’’ and Kanye West’s “808s & Heartbreak’’ in a subset of experimental and emotional hip-hop, “Man on the Moon’’ might be the most fully-formed of them all. What he lacks in pure rapping ability Cudi more than makes up for with infectious melodies and powerful hooks. It’s more Fall Out Boy than Fabolous.

Using as a skeleton his 2008 mix-tape, “A Kid Named Cudi,’’ which spawned the megahit “Day N Nite,’’ Cudi fleshes out that sound perfectly through rich production by Emile, Plain Pat, MGMT, and Ratatat. The concept of splitting the album into five acts and 15 scenes comes together without getting in the way of the music. Woozy wrist-slitters like “Solo, Dolo (Nightmare)’’ are chased by the bouncy liveliness of “Enter Galactic (Love Connection Part I),’’ and it’s easy to follow along as the emotions ebb and flow.
